For evening entertainment there is a stylishly designed wine bar, which sometimes offers a DJ night for those that want to tear up the dance floor and let off some steam. To work out all of the drinks from the night before, stop by the hotels fully equipped gym, each exercise machine has a small wall display playing music videos and reruns of news channels to keep you entertained while you burn off those extra pounds.


The main benefit to staying at the Cumberland hotel is its location, right in the heart of London and near the bus and train terminals, getting to other parts of the city was easy. The only downside of being located right in the center of town, is the noisy crowds and traffic, but this is only a problem if you're coming back late in the evenings, plus the noise dies down at mid evening time. One comment on the rooms, is that you should try and get one facing out towards the street, this gives you the best light and a great view of the city; some of the cheaper rooms might seem a little on the dark side. Overall a pleasant hotel experience and a good recommendation for anyone stopping in the city for a few days and who want to get as many sights in as they can, while having a comfortable room to go back to.
