The first of the Hugglets Teddy Bear festivals takes place Sunday 26 February, 2012. It's a great way to spend a chilly winter day while staying warm. If you like bears, particularly teddy bears you will be in heaven. Over 170 stalls display around 10,000 different teddy bears of all shapes, sizes and rarity. While the festival attracts a lot of collectors, you don't have to be one to enjoy it. It's a great place to find a unique gift or special souvenir for your trip to London

Many of the bears are for sale, some are antiques and others modern. Exhibitors will also be selling bear related books and clothing, as well as competing for the best-dressed bear. 2012 exhibitors include, Pipedream Bears, The Old Bear Company, Little Hugs, Kaz Bears, and Barling Bears.

The event takes place at Kensington Town Hall on Hornton Street, London, W8 7NX from 10.30am - 4pm. Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for kids, which is a great price for an event in London. The event attracts a large crowd, so it's best to arrive early and queue if you want to get access to the best bears. Those waiting patiently in line will be able to enjoy the free chocolates that are passed out. Inside you can store your coats in bags in the cloak room, free of charge. If your love of teddy bears is so much that you find you can't carry your purchases around with you anymore, you can also make a trip to the clock room to store them while you enjoy the rest of the day at no extra charge.

The venue is easy to reach from central London hotels. The nearest tube station is High Street Kensington , which is on the District and Circle lines. Also within walking distance is Notting Hill Gate station, which is served by the Central, Circle and District lines. However, since the event is on a Sunday you should check to status of the tube lines before travelling. Sunday is the day that engineering works often take place on the lines, which means there are often part or even full closures of the line. Sunday also has fewer trains running, but generally you won't have to wait very long for one.

Kensington itself is a popular area for visitors to stay due to its proximity to a number of London's attractions, including Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens. A good choice of Kensington, London accommodation can be found right near Kensington Town Hall, including the Copethorne Tara Hotel, the London Marriot Kensington Hotel, and the Seraphine Hotel Kensington Olympia.
